The Government of Delhi is planning on a three-pronged strategy to deal with the growing parking problems and congestion in the national capital. The Lieutenant Governor said that while the parking policy can be “notified any time”, options are being explored to designate certain roads for one-way traffic movement and also to levy a charge from vehicle owners for entering some of the congested stretch. This is known as congestion charge. The Lieutenant Governor further stated that the options are “subject to study”.
