Tripura High Court: A Division Bench comprising of Sanjay Karol, CJ and Arindam Lodh, J. instructed the respondent against the insensitivity shown by them towards the poor residents of the area.
The writ petitioner has highlighted the insensitivity and the apathy on the part of the State administration in not paying the meagre telephone charges of Rs 872 in consequence of which telephone installed at Fire Station was disconnected disabling the people to use in an emergency. Also, the medical sub-centre at the Panchayat was locked up leading to unavailability to access the only medical facility in the area. But the concern here was that the respondent never gave heed to it neither into the cause of the matter leading to the current situation nor any arrangements have been made to remediate it.
Taking into account the poor residents of the area and the irresponsible acts of the respondent, the Court ordered to provide all remedial measures for the above with immediate effect. [Arjit Bhowmik v. State of Tripura, 2018 SCC OnLine Tri 260, decided on 29-11-2018]
