As a chance at experiential education in global policy making, a matching simulation of the UN bodies and other innovative institutions, an MUN is where delegates represent their countries at the international platform, deliberate, discuss and draft comprehensive resolutions on major international crises. An intellectual, enthralling and engaging replica, MUN’s since its inception in 1949 has had ardent followers in the student community the world over. By debating agenda’s, proposing solutions, codifying them keeping national interests in mind – participants hone their skills at public speaking, diplomacy and cerebration.
The National University of Advanced Legal Studies, one amongst the finest National Law Schools in India, after its stint with hoisting the first ever MUN, Aquinas, with the sole committee of ECOSOC, is prepped to hoist its two day event, the NUALS MUN 2019 featuring a remarkable EB, a 68 member strong organising team and an expected 120 delegates. The MUN will comprise the following committees:
- United Nations General Assembly First Committee- Disarmament and International Security (UNGA-DISEC)
- United Nations Security Council (UNSC)
- United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC)
- Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ)
Slated to be held on the 16th and 17th of March 2019, the NUALS MUN promises a singular experience of intellectual exercise and much fun while at it!
