Department of Law PIMR, Indore has conducted an Extra Mural Lecture on the Topic – Culpable Homicide, Murder & Private Defence on 10th August 2019. The lecture was conducted by Adv. Asif Warsi (Senior Advocate, High Court Bench, Indore) and was attended by around 105 students of first year.
In the lecture the guest described in detail about Section 299, 300 and Sec 96-106 of IPC in brief. The whole lecture was centered on the difference between Murder and Culpable Homicide. He also described the differences in punishment for both the offences and exceptions available in case of Private Defence. In the end he also discussed few case laws of Murder in which he appeared as Counsel before Indore bench of M.P High Court . He also asked opinion of students on Article 370 of Indian Constitution.
