A report is being prepared on the current employment status of migrant workers who came back to Madhya Pradesh post lockdown. All of the 52 districts will be covered elaborately to understand the extent of state aid and benefits received by the workers under various schemes. We plan to submit the final report, reflecting the status quo, to the state government for policy considerations.
Being a large-scale project, we will be requiring volunteers to help us. Each volunteer will be given charge of one district and will carry out the project as district leader. Their primary duty would be to communicate with the migrant workers settled there and inquire about their current employment status based on a questionnaire.
Requirements: The work demands two weeks commitment beginning from the first week of October. The work hours are flexible as long as the volunteers are able to meet their deadlines. It is a virtual volunteership programme and people from any state can apply.
Perks: All those who successfully complete the tasks will be given a certificate of appreciation. Their names will appear in the final report which we plan to submit to the M.P. government.
