GLC Mumbai organising a Three Days International Conference on the Theme: World Constitution: A New Horizon of Human Rights on 7th, 8th and 9th January, 2022.

 

ABOUT GLC, MUMBAI:
Government Law College, Mumbai, established in 1855, has the distinction of being the oldest Law College in Asia, dating even prior to the University of Mumbai. It enjoys a pre-eminent reputation for excellence in the field of legal education with a seemingly endless list of eminent alumni like Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, Lokmanya Tilak, Justice M. C. Chagla, Sir Motilal Setalvad (first Attorney General of India), and several others who have adorned benches of the Supreme Court of India and the Bombay High Court. Having humbly begun as evening classes in a borrowed premises, this college that first lit the candle of legal education in India stands tall amongst all its contemporaries.
 

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE:
Recognizing the utmost need and urgency of having world order for establishing peace and harmony, United Nations, the Charter of 1945 and the blueprint of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights put forth the central idea of a World Constitution.
The need to address various issues including the protection of Human values and lives through the universal recognition and uniform practice of human rights pave the way for having one universal approach. GLC takes this opportunity to have a deliberation on the need of having the World Constitution. The present international conference is an attempt to focus on various components and parameters constituting the main framework of the World Constitution.
The objective of the International Conference is to encourage the participants to share their notions and ideas on the subject of the World Constitution and make their contributions in shaping the new world document benefitting the universal citizens irrespective of nationality and gender.

 

ELIGIBILITY:
GLC invites research scholars, academicians, advocates, students, among others, to submit quality research papers.

The listed themes are merely indicative. Any other topic may be covered within the ambit of the main theme.
 

SUBMISSION AND REGISTRATION PROCEDURE:
Each applicant must submit the paper along with 5 keywords and an abstract not exceeding 300 words providing an overview of the proposed paper by e-mail to glcinc2022@gmail.com on or before 30th December, 2021.

All Authors of the papers shall declare that the manuscript submitted does not infringe any copyright of any other person or persons and are requested to submit the undertaking of original work along with the papers.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
The main text should be in Time New Roman with font size 12 and line spacing of 1.5.
The endnotes should be in Times New Roman, font size 10 with a line spacing of 1.0 and a one-inch margin should be maintained on all four sides.
Citation style: Bluebook, 21st Edition.
The maximum length of the paper shall not exceed 3000 words.
The page limit for a single research paper is 6 pages.
Co-authorship is allowed up to 2 authors. 
All submissions are to be made in Microsoft word.
 
PRIZES:
A certificate of participation will be provided to the participants and selected quality research papers will be published after peer-review in an ISBN E-Book.
