Justice Ayesha A. Malik becomes first female Judge to be elevated to the Pakistan Supreme Court

As per reports, Justice Ayesha A. Malik of Lahore High Court has been elevated to the Supreme Court of Pakistan and with this decision, she will become the first-ever female Judge of the Pakistan Supreme Court.

The Judicial Com­mis­sion of Pakistan (JCP) on Thursday approved the elevation of Lahore High Court Justice Ayesha A. Malik to the Supreme Court, which will make her the country’s first-ever woman judge to sit on the apex court.
