\u201c 5A. <\/span><\/span>Person responsible for collection and payment of securities transaction tax in case of Insurance <\/span><\/span>Company.<\/span><\/span>–<\/span><\/span><\/span> In the case of an insurance company, the person responsible for collection and paymen<\/span><\/span>t of <\/span><\/span>securities transaction tax in accordance with sub<\/span><\/span>–<\/span><\/span>sections (2), (3) and (4) of section 100 of the Act, shall be <\/span><\/span>the managing director or a whole<\/span><\/span>–<\/span><\/span>time director, as defined in clauses (54) and (94) of section 2 of the <\/span><\/span>Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013), d<\/span><\/span>uly authorised by the Board of Directors of such company in this <\/span><\/span>behalf.\u201d.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

• In the principal rules, in rule 8 dealing with ‘Return by whom to be signed<\/b>‘, the following clause shall be inserted:<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  \u201c<\/span>(c) in the case of an insurance company by the managing director or a whole-time director as defined in <\/span>clauses (54) and (94) of section 2 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013) a duly authorised by the Board <\/span>of Directors of such company in this behalf.\u201d.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
