Maharashtra Government directed to set up a medical board to examine rape survivor for terminating 24 week old foetus

Supreme Court: The bench comprising of JS Khehar and Arun Mishra JJ., directed the Maharashtra Government to set up a medical board to examine the rape survivor who sought permission to terminate her 24 week old foetus. State of Maharashtra has further asked to constitute the medical board KEM Hospital and College, Mumbai so as to medically examine the petitioner. Medical examination of the Petitioner scheduled to be conducted on 23.07.2016. The report of the Medical Board shall be placed before the Court for consideration on 25.07.2016. [Ms. X v.
