After receiving an overwhelming response to the First and Second Edition of Symbiosis Law School, Pune – International Criminal Trial Advocacy Competition, we are glad to inform you that the Third Edition of Symbiosis Law School, Pune – International Criminal Trial Advocacy Competition [SICTA] will be held from March 23–25, 2018 in Symbiosis Law School, Pune.

The Competition is based on the simulation of the Trial Chamber of the International Criminal Court and pertains to rules and structure as enshrined in the Rome Statute of ICC. The theme for third edition of SICTA is Prosecution and reparation for crimes committed by non-State actors in the backdrop of proxy wars. The maximum number of participants per team shall be restricted to 3 (2 speakers & 1 researcher) or only 2 speakers.

The Competition shall have teams representing three sides – Prosecution, Defense or the Victim(s) in the various rounds of the Competition. There shall be three preliminary rounds followed by the semifinals and the final.

REGISTRATION: It is an INVITE – ONLY Competition and limited to 24 teams. The registration is based on first cum first serve basis. The prospective teams should provisionally register for the Competition by sending an email to symbiosismoot@symlaw.ac.in on or before December 18, 2017. The subject of the email should be “Provisional Registration for the SLSP – International Criminal Trial Advocacy Competition, 2018”.

The Compromis and the Rulebook of the Third Symbiosis Law School, Pune – International Criminal Trial Advocacy Competition, 2018 will be released on December 20, 2017.
