No.17015/7/2018-RI Cell—In continuation of the Government of India Resolution dated 31.03.2016, the term of the National Commission for Safai Karamcharis (NCSK) is hereby extended for a further period of three years i.e. from 01-04-2019 to 31-03-2022.
2. The terms of reference of the Commission will continue to be the same as notified in the Resolution No. 17015/17/2008-RIC dated 02.03.2009. The Commission will continue to perform the functions as mentioned in Section 31 (1) of the Prohibition of Employment as Manual Scavengers and their Rehabilitation Act 2013. The provisions regarding its composition, power, procedural matters and Annual Reports will continue to be governed by paras 3 and 5-7 of the Resolution No. 17015/18/2003-SCD-VI dated 09.09.2004.
