  • It will be quite interesting to study the journey of thoughts of the US Supreme Court from 1857 {Dred Scott v. Sandford, 60 U.S. (19 How.) 393 (1857)} to 1954 {Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka, 347 U.S. 483 (1954)} which took 97 Years vis-à-vis journey of thoughts of the Supreme Court of India from 1950 {A.K. Gopalan vs The State of Madras, Union of India (1950 AIR 27, 1950 SCR 88) decided on 19 May, 1950} to 1978 { Maneka Gandhi vs Union of India (1978 AIR 597, 1978 SCR (2) 621) decided on 25 January, 1978} which took 28 Years
It will also be interesting to study the dissenting opinions of Justice McLean and Justice Curtis in 1857 vis-à-vis dissenting opinion of Justice Fazal Ali in 1950.
