With the successful conduction of three editions of a competition which nurtures the art of building, defending and arguing a case in the courtroom, National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi, is all geared up for the next edition of the competition on 13th-15th September, 2019. NTAC, a flagship event of NUSRL is known to be a platform which serves as a stepping stone to the world of criminal litigation for young minds across law universities in the country. This competition, with SCC Online as its knowledge partner, will be instrumental in providing an insightful experience of the functioning of trail courts.

The competition was given an enthusiastic start with the inauguration by Justice Vikramaditya Prasad, Former Judge of Jharkhand High Court. His words were fruitful in igniting the passion for criminal law in the minds of the participants. Standing among the few trial advocacy competitions in the country, the courtrooms see a simulation of the dynamics of a courtroom.
The first day of the competition saw participants arguing their cases before the bench for two rounds of long drawn trials. After the conduction of the preliminary rounds, KIIT School of law, Bhubaneshwar; Symbiosis Law College, Pune; Symbiosis Law College Hyderabad & University law College, Utkal University have qualified for the Semi-final rounds. The bench will constitute the likes of Mr. Trideep Pais, Mr. P. N. Rai, Mr. Sresth Gautam, Mr. Pandey P. N. Rai Pankaj, Mr. Saurav Gautam and Mr. Dharmendra Kumar thereby making an excellent blend of experiences from the Supreme Court of India, High Court of Jharkhand and the Jharkhand Judiciary.
