DAY 3 [BATTLE ROUND 2: 20th October,2019]
With immense passion and laborious efforts by our delegates, volunteers inclusive of all other Participants, the event comes to a halt. As someone once quoted, “hard work always pays off”, it was a true pleasure to witness the hard work and dedication of every participant in the event. We were honoured to have the respected dignitaries amongst us to cheer and inspire the participants which eventually led to the successful execution of the Moot competition as planned.
Finally the flagship event of our college, the journey which we embarked upon, comes to an end. The Fifth Madhava Menon SAARCLAW Mooting Competition India Round is officially closed. The college is looking forward to host the international round which is to be held in the month of February, 2019.
VALEDICTORY FUNCTION
05:35 PM – The last day of the ceremony proceeded as all the participants and volunteer got their pictures clicked and this how the day ends.

04:29 PM – Mr. Ravi Prakash, Advocate, Supreme Court of India, has presented the moot proposition to our chief guest.
04:17 PM – Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ajay Kumar Tripathi, Former Chief Justice of Chattisgarh, Member, Judicial Lokpal, is now addressing the audience. He explained and outlined the evolution of legal education in the last 10 years. He continued by highlighting the various scopes one has after choosing law as a career. He emphasized on the legal studies and dignity that a lawyer possesses. He also shared his experiences as a former student of our late Prof. N. R. Madhava Menon.
04:05 PM – Dr. Lalit Bhasin, President, SILF & Bar Association of India, is at the dais. He discussed about the contribution of Prof. N. R. Madhava Menon in the field of legal education in India. He also explained the importance of a teacher despite having all the technologies. “Etiquette is the attire of a lawyer”, he further added.
03:55 PM – Mr. R. Venkatramani, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court Of India/Advisor, SAARCLAW Mooting competition, is on the dais. He described “what a moot problem is and how it is even relevant with real life”. He further continued discussing about importance of ethics in law and advises that every lawyer must follow it.
03:45 PM – Prof. (Dr.) S. Siva Kumar, Professor, ILI, , SAARCLAW mooting administrator is now addressing the gathering. He heart fully thanked everyone to make SAARCLAW Moot court competition possible. He also motivated every student to be a part of such activities and wishes everyone luck.
03:35 PM – Mr. Akhilesh Kumar Khan, Deputy director, Lloyd Law College, is now addressing the audience. He describes the importance of moot court competition in the life of a law student and how SAARCLAW moot court competition has evolved throughout the years.
03:25 PM – Mr. Manohar Thairani, President, Lloyd Law College, is delivering a welcome address. He also thanked SILF and MILAT for holding this mooting competition. He said that the presence of the Chief Guest encouraged us and inspired us. He further thanked all the participants and judges for being a part of the competition.

NAMING THE COMPETITION-
Prof. (Dr.) N.R. Madhava Menon is known for the reform brought about in Indian legal education by the pioneering efforts n the last three decades by introducing Five Year Integrated B.A.LL.B. programme under the National Law School experiment is the inspiration for Lloyd Law College sponsoring the Mooting Competition in his name. Lloyd Law College is proud to be associated with MILAT and Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF) is launching the Mooting event for the benefit of law students of South Asian countries.
Fifth Prof. N. R. Madhava Menon SAARC Mooting Competition, Law Students’ Conference & Judges Colloquium 2019 is to be organized by Lloyd Law College under technical support from MILAT-Menon Institute of Legal Advocacy, Trivandrum and Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF) at Lloyd Law College, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. There are two stages of the competition. this round is the Indian round of the same. the two rounds are The Indian Round and the SAARC Round for India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Nepal and Maldives. India Round is here in witnessing 46 teams from the best of all the law schools in India.
