1. About NUSRL, Ranchi:
National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi has been established to further the cause of legal education in its manifold spheres of knowledge, development, and dissemination; coupled with the capacity building of state and non-state institutions; specializing in relevant legal technological interrelationship and above all strengthening the legal system at all levels. Student-centred legal education with global perspectives; preparing students as future legal professionals in law practice, academic and public policy are going to be the mainstay of this University. It is well known that for the purpose of social, economic, and political betterment of a nation, the legal system plays a cardinal role, and as such better legal education would be the core principle of the University.
2. About Center for Criminal Law, NUSRL Ranchi:
Center for Criminal Law was established in 2017 to study the Contemporary Issues and Challenges in Criminal Law. The Center for Criminal Law has been one of the most active academic societies in the area of Criminal Law in NUSRL. This Center provides to the future lawmakers and lawyers an opportunity to understand the depth of the criminal justice system and developing strategies to mitigate the threat to this system. Center promotes and encourages its students for research in the field of Criminal Law.
Vision of Center for Criminal Law
Center strives to create an opportunity for in-depth understanding and awareness of contemporary challenges and issues of Criminal Law, make analytical assessment of provisions of Criminal Law and provide solutions and suggestions on the basis of research.
3. Call for Blogs
Centre for Criminal Law, NUSRL Ranchi is inviting Blog submission from Students, Legal Practitioners and Academicians on topics related to Contemporary as well as doctrinal topics related to Criminal Law.
4. Submission Guidelines
1. We welcome blog posts that address contemporary issues on Criminal Law. We particularly welcome editorial commentary and candid views. We prefer posts that include critical analysis or explore particular themes of wider resonance. We discourage posts that merely summaries cases or discuss basic aspects of Criminal Law on which substantial literature is already available on the Internet.
2. The article should be an original work of the author and not under consideration for publication in any other journal or blog.
3. Plagiarism beyond 10% in an article shall not be accepted and the same shall be outright rejected.
4. Minimum length of article is 1000 words; maximum should be limited to 1500 words excluding endnotes.
5. Co-authorship of a maximum of 2 is permitted.
6. All submissions must be in Times New Roman, font size 12, and with line spacing 1.5.
7. The relevant sources should be hyperlinked within the article itself. However, in case of sources of which no link could be provided, they must be mentioned as endnotes and should be in Times New Roman 10 and single-spaced.
8. Kindly note that Endnotes are discouraged and the editorial team prefer Hyperlinks for readers convenience.
9. However, if the relevant source cannot be hyperlinked then endnotes can be incorporated. Citation format for endnotes should be Bluebook 20th Edition. Furthermore, all the relevant sources must be duly acknowledged.
10. All entries should be submitted in .doc or .docx format.
11. Once the article is published on CCL Blog the same can only be re-posted with due credits to CCL Blog wherein the article was first published.
12. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Center for Criminal Law, NUSRL Ranchi shall be final and binding.
13. Submission of Article should at the Mail id of Center for Criminal Law, i.e. ccl@nusrlranchi.ac.in
14. The editorial process of CCL takes a total of 14 days.
15. The Subject of the Mail while submitting the article should be titled, “Submission for CCL Blog”
16. The document should not have the name(s) of the author(s) or the University they are affiliated with.
