Rouse Avenue District Court, Delhi: In a case filed by the counsel for accused ‘KT Jaleel’ alleging wrong reporting in various daily newspapers that mentions that this court has allowed registration of FIR against accused K.T. Jaleel, Harjeet Singh Jaspal, J. clarifies that this Court has not summoned the accused K.T. Jaleel yet, nor has it reached the stage of summoning itself.
The Court further remarked that the matter is pending for orders on an application u/s 156 (3), Criminal Procedure Code. It is further made clear that till the time the order on the said application is passed, no opinion on merits has been placed on record.
It was submitted before Court that the said reporting is at the instance of complainant/Advocate Sh G.S. Mani. Sh. Mani, however, submitted that this is merely a bonafide mistake and he never intended the newspapers to believe that FIR had actually been ordered and apologized for the same.
