The accused was directed to be released on suspension of sentence after considering that the sentence awarded was for 3 years and he had already served 2/3rd of the same.
Supreme Court directed the accused to extend complete cooperation in the trial, and to not misuse his liberty in any manner or to influence the witnesses in any way. In addition, the accused was directed to not make any attempts to re-associate with the victim girl in any manner either through a device or in-person.
Supreme Court viewed that the accused is entitled to be enlarged on bail pending trial, especially when no antecedents of the accused have been brought on record.
“The applicant is granted interim bail for a period of eight days from the date of his release, subject to his furnishing personal bond in the sum of Rs.50,000 with one surety of the like amount, to the satisfaction of the Trial Court.”
